Introduction

The demand for stainless steel pipes has been on the rapid increase according to the recent improvement of living conditions.
One of the drawbacks of stainless steel pipes is that they are high in cost. To give a solution to this problem, we succeeded in manufacturing stainless steel clad pipes (trade name: ICS pipes) by utilizing special electric welding techniques.
Seemingly, ICS pipes are similar to all stainless steel pipes ad have almost the same characteristics. Nevertheless, the cost is very low.
We believe the customer sill be satisfied with ICS pipes as new materials for construction, automobile and vehicle industry, food plants, kitchen utensils and ordinary decorative purposes.

Features of ICS Pipes

1. The ICS pipe consists of a carbon steel pipe for a mechanical structure clad with very thin (0.1-0.14 mm) ground stainless band steel (SUS304 (18Cr-8Ni)). The carbon steel pipe is manufactured by an automatic high frequency welding and extruding machine. The band steel covering the outer surface of the pipe is seam-welded.
2. As compared with commercially available stainless steel clad pipes, the ICS pipe is completely seam-welded and is by no means inferior to the all stainless steel pipe.
3. The cost of the ICS pipe will never become rusty or corrosive due to water.
4. The ICS pipe is lower in price than the all stainless steel pipe. The ICS pipe is suitable when a relatively great thickness is required for increasing strength.
5. The surface is finished by high class grounding so that the appearance is excellent. As compared with plated pipes, the ICS pipe has refined luster and Vakes one feel solidness.
